Established in 1976 as Steven D. Bell & Company, Bell Partners is a privately held real estate investment and management firm headquartered in Greensboro, N.C. Since its inception, the company has focused on the acquisition, financing, management and disposition of quality apartment communities, commercial and senior housing properties. These Bell-managed properties are located in more than 110 cities throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Massachusetts.

Bell's current management portfolio is valued at more than $5 billion and includes more than 58,000 apartments, 4.2 million square feet of retail/commercial space, and 28 senior housing communities in 16 states. Since 2000, the company has completed over $5.7 billion of acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of its high-net-worth and institutional investors. More importantly, over the last two years, Bell Partners distributed in excess of $600 million to its ownership partners.

For most of the firm’s history, Bell Partners invested capital and managed properties on behalf of private investors. Bell Principals and related parties invested in each deal alongside a growing following of private investors. As the firm has grown in size and capability, several institutional investors joint-ventured over $1.4 billion in acquisitions and development with Bell.

In addition to our investment services, Bell Partners also provides management services for our investors and for third party ownership groups. In 2006, the Multifamily Division grew by 72% and Bell Senior Living grew by 103%. The next 10 years should bring measured growth to Bell Partners.
